Designed to check guitar neck straightness of the fretboard and not just The frets. This is the only true way to check for straightness before leveling your frets. Essential for proper truss rod adjustment. 1/8”x1.5″x18.5″ Machined Edge 6061 Aluminum, not 1/16” thick sheet metal as others sold on E-bay. Ours is very rigid and will last for years without bending. One side is for 27″ Baritone scale guitars, and the other side is for 26.5″ Baritone scale guitars. We wanted to make this tool affordable not only for guitar techs but players as well. Each side is clearly labeled for its scale length.
CNC precision machined for a flatness of +/- .001″ Good to use with 21, 22 or 24 fret necks..doesn’t matter. Use with strings on or off. Notched to the 22nd fret with clearance for more frets and clearance for the nut on the other end. You can also place on top of the frets (off the cut notches) to use as a Standard Straightedge to check fret wear and level. If you’re not sure scale length of your guitar… measure from the edge of the nut (headstock) to the center of the 12th fret.
